Former West Ham United and Newcastle United goalkeeper Shaka Hislop has predicted on ESPN that Tottenham Hotspur will lose to CSKA Moscow on Tuesday evening.

Tottenham will face CSKA away from home in Moscow in the Champions League this evening.

The North London outfit will head into the Group E game at Stadion CSKA Moskva on the back of a 2-1 victory over Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium in the Premier League.

Spurs lost their opening Champions League game earlier this month, going down 2-1 to French club AS Monaco at the Wembley Stadium in London.

Former West Ham and Newcastle goalkeeper Hislop believes that Tottenham will lose again.

“I don’t think they will,” Hislop told ESPN when asked if Tottenham can bounce back from the defeat to Monaco.

“Spurs have not been playing well. Saying that, against who they have had to come up against: wins against Stoke, Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace.

“They sit second in the English Premier League, but I don’t think they have been all that convincing.

“After that come-from-behind draw against Leverkusen on Matchday 1, I think CKSA will get the job done at home against Spurs.”

Glenn Hoddle, though, has backed his former club Tottenham to pick up all three points from this evening’s match and has predicted a 1-0 win for Spurs on Zapsportz.com.

Tottenham may not have looked overly convincing, but the fact is that they are winning matches, at least in the Premier League.

Spurs are second in the league table at the moment, just four points behind leaders Manchester City.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are better than CSKA, and the fans should be confident of a positive result in Moscow.
