A stunned Ezgjan Alioski has reacted to Leeds United’s latest FA Cup shock.

The Premier League club were dumped out of the competition away to Crawley Town this afternoon.

In fact, the League Two side didn’t just beat Leeds – they hammered them.

United, who sit 12th in the top flight, were thumped 3-0 by the third-tier side, with all of the goals coming in the second half.

On paper, it looks like Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa rested quite a few of his best players, but £30 million summer signing Rodrigo was present in the first XI, as was Helder Costa, Pablo Hernandez, Alioski, Liam Cooper, Kalvin Phillips and Champions League winner Kiko Casilla, who made a goalkeeping error.

Bielsa hauled some big names off at the break, but the Whites still had more than enough to win the game and yet they could only fashion one clear goalscoring opportunity in 90 minutes.

Losing FA Cup games at the first hurdle is nothing new for the Elland Road side, but they’re a Premier League side and these upsets are far less tolerable.

Here’s how a shocked Alisoki reacted to the defeat:

He told BBC Radio 5 Live: “I can’t find my words right now. We are really disappointed and it wasn’t the result that we wanted. Especially me I’m really sad, we took the game really seriously and we wanted to win and go on a run so it is disappointing. I still can’t believe it.”

Bielsa’s side are back in league action at home to Brighton next Saturday.
