Sunderland are set to take on Manchester United, Burnley, Liverpool, Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion.

We attempt to predict the results of Sunderland’s next five Premier League matches.

Manchester United (away) – 2-0 defeat

United have shown signs of improvement lately, with Jose Mourinho’s side beginning to click into gear.

A trip to Old Trafford will be a tough assignment for Sunderland, and they could come unstuck.

Burnley (away) – 0-0 draw

Burnley manager Sean Dyche

Turf Moor has turned into a fortress for Burnley this season, and they have proven to be a test for the very best in front of their own fans.

Neither side will want to lose this one, and it could be that both teams end up cancelling each other out.

Liverpool (home) – 3-1 defeat

Liverpool’s defence may be susceptible if they can be put on the back foot, but their attacking talent means that they should be too much for Sunderland to cope with.

Stoke City (home) – 2-1 win

Sunderland will see this is a winnable match, and if David Moyes’ side are to stay up, they need to be winning these sort of fixtures.

West Bromwich Albion (away) – 1-0 defeat

West Brom have surprised many with how well they have performed this season. Solid at the back, and with weapons going forward – Sunderland will do well to avoid defeat at the Hawthorns.
