Nikola Katic has signed a new contract with Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers.

As announced on Rangers’ official website, Katic has put pen to paper on a new deal which will see him stay at Ibrox until the summer of 2023.
The 23-year-old central defender joined Rangers from Slaven Belupo in the summer of 2018 for a transfer fee reported by The Scottish Sun to be worth £1.5 million.
The Croatia international has established himself as an important player in Steven Gerrard’s team, and his Rangers teammate Eros Grezda – who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder and joined the Gers from Osijek in the summer of 2018 for a fee reported by The Scottish Sun to be worth £2m – is delighted.
Uncertain future
While Katic have committed his long-term future to Rangers, doubts remain on Grezda.
Rangers manager Gerrard told The Scottish Sun last month that he has told 24-year-old that he can leave the Gers.
The Liverpool legend made the decision after the Albania international winger was accused of spitting while playing for the Rangers Colts against Ballymena, as reported in The Scottish Sun.
