Grezda has failed to feature for Rangers since the turn of the year.

Eros Grezda of Rangers looks on during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premier League between Celtic and at Ibrox Stadium on December 29, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Eros Grezda has posted on Instagram after finally returning to Rangers training having failed to make a single appearance for Steven Gerrard’s side in 2019.

The 23-year-old has failed to play a single minute of football since the turn of the year, after being substituted at half-time during the 2-1 Scottish Premiership win at Perth against St. Johnstone back in December.

The nine-time Albania international has since been ruled out with an ankle injury which will be equally as frustrating for both players and club – especially after missing match after match upon his arrival.

BBC Sport claim the Albanian cost Rangers a whopping £2million to land the winger from NK Osijek, but he has since managed just 14 appearances for Gerrard’s men. He posted on Instagram after returning to training.

Grezda’s spell on the sidelines has seen the likes of Ryan Kent and Daniel Candeias shine in his absence, with the latter assisting three of Alfredo Morelos’s four goals on Wednesday. Kent also provided Andy Halliday for his goal.

It remains to be seen if the Alabanian ace will be a part of the side that travels to Hamilton on Sunday afternoon, with the Gers looking to keep the pressure on Old Firm rivals Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.

Rangers fans reacted to the news that Grezda had returned to Rangers and were somewhat encouraged, with supporters keen to see him finally gain some momentum and show why he cost £2million.
