Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has told Eurosport that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is world class.

Valverde made the comments ahead of the Champions League clash between Barcelona and Tottenham at Camp Nou on Tuesday evening.

According to The Daily Star, Spanish and European giants Barcelona are interested in singing Kane as a replacement for former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

The Blaugrana are reportedly looking for a replacement for Suarez due to the Uruguay international’s age (31) and his long-term knee problems.

Valverde told Eurosport about Kane: “He’s a world-class player, one of those who can always make the difference. He links up well and shoots great, too.”

Good enough for Barcelona

Kane is one of the best strikers in the world and has been scoring goals regularly for the past four seasons for Tottenham.

The 25-year-old is certainly good enough for Barcelona, and Valverde’s praise shows just how highly he is rated at the Spanish giants.

It is highly unlikely that Kane will leave Tottenham in the January transfer window, and perhaps the England international will not entertain the idea of an exit from the North London outfit next summer either.
