Former Leeds United target Erling Braut Haaland picked up where he left off on Saturday afternoon.
The 19-year-old sensation opened the scoring as Borussia Dortmund hammered Schalke 4-0 yesterday.
It was the return of the Bundesliga following a two-month absence, but Haaland, who was born in the city of Leeds, showed no sign of rustiness as he tapped home the opener on 29 minutes.
The youngster now has a brilliant 13 goals from 12 games across all competitions since joining the German giants as recently as January.
Haaland, son of former Whites star Alf-Inge, was linked with a move to Elland Road in 2018 [Aftenposten] but has since developed into one of the world’s best young goalscorers.
The player himself uploaded a post-match message on Twitter and, predictably, Leeds fans were quick to chime in.

Haaland said that it was his dream to win a Premier League title with Leeds a couple of years ago, but this is a player destined for the very, very, very top and if he does return to his birthplace for football reasons, it won’t be for a long, long time.
