Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has told the club’s official website that the atmosphere that he will face at Anfield during the match against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will be the worst that he has ever come up against.
Liverpool and Manchester United are bitter and traditional rivals.
The two clubs will lock horns with each other at Anfield on Sunday.
While Liverpool are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season, United do have a small chance of challenging Arsenal and Manchester City for the title.
The Merseyside club are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment with 39 points from 24 matches.
Meanwhile, United currently find themselves third in the standings with 49 points from 24 games.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag on Liverpool’s Anfield stadium atmosphere
Ten Hag said: “I know. I know. I’ve seen the games between Liverpool and Manchester United. I’ve been, I know what’s going on there.
“I have been already in many hostile stadiums but it will probably be the worst – maybe. But I have been in other occasions too that are really hostile so I know what’s going on there and I’m really looking forward and my players are the same.”

Crowd a big factor
Now, while Manchester United have been superb in recent months, the Anfield crowd will play a big role today.
Liverpool have started to get some form, and the Anfield faithful will know that a win against the Red Devils today will massively boost their chances of finishing in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
We do not expect United to win today, and we believe that the match could end in a scored draw.
Whatever the result, we expect the match between Liverpool and Manchester United at Anfield today to be hugely entertaining and exciting.
