The Danish defender looks to have returned to full training with Celtic.
Erik Sviatchenko’s latest Twitter post appears to suggest great news for Celtic.
The Bhoys defender has been absent since the start of August with a knee injury, which initially coincided with lay-offs for fellow centre-backs Dedryck Boyata and Jozo Simunovic.
That left Brendan Rodgers’ options significantly depleted in that department, with the inexperienced Kristoffer Ajer and midfielder Nir Bitton forced to deputise on several occasions.
But the Celtic boss could be spoilt for choice soon, with Sviatchenko having seemingly returned to training at Lennoxtown.
“Finally back,” he tweeted, ahead of Saturday’s visit of Hibernian.
Sviatchenko arrived at Celtic Park from FC Midtjylland in January 2016 and played 43 times last season across all competitions.
The Bhoys have a two-week break coming up after this weekend, and will hope that Sviatchenko is not called up to Denmark’s national team squad as he steps up his recovery.
The 25-year-old was last selected in November 2016 and has five caps for the Red-White.
