Erik Sviatchenko has left Celtic on a permanent basis after spending the second-half of this past season out on loan.

Erik Sviatchenko has taken to Twitter to send a heartfelt message to the Celtic fans, players, and managers he has played under after sealing his permanent move away from Parkhead this summer.
Sviatchenko joined the Hoops in January 2016 and was arguably one of the more impressive performers during the final months of Ronny Deila’s tenure with the Scottish Premiership champions.

He would make 43 appearances in all competitions during his first full season with the Bhoys, but barely featured during the first-half of this past season, appearing twice in the Champions League qualifiers. The 1-0 win over Rosenborg at the start of August would prove to be his final outing in a Celtic shirt.
The Denmark international joined Midtjylland on loan in January, and Celtic have now confirmed on their official website that he has now joined them on a permanent basis this summer.

And following the news, Sviatchenko took to social media to send an extremely emotional message to the Celtic supporters, reliving many of the highlights from his time in Scotland and thanking all those who have been associated with the Hoops during that spell.
Here is what Sviatchenko posted on social media…
In response, many Celtic fans wished the centre-back the best of luck in this new chapter in his career. Sviatchenko was undoubtedly a popular member of the squad during his time with the club, and that is reflected in the fact that some supporters are disappointed that he has been allowed to leave.
