Celtic defender Erik Sviatchenko has scored just once in the Scottish Premiership, but clearly has the potential to add to that tally considerably.

Celtic defender Erik Sviatchenko has, unsurprisingly, taken great joy in posting a video on Twitter which sees him score a stunning goal on the training ground.
Sviatchenko has only been at Celtic for little over a year and is, of course, a centre-back by trade, but even so, his record in front of goal for the Hoops has certainly not been anything to shout about.
The Denmark international has scored just once in 33 appearances in the Scottish Premiership, while also scoring once in the Scottish Cup, which came in last season’s semi-final against Rangers.
However, he would have surely proved to many that he definitely has the quality to find the back of the net on a more regular basis as he took to social media to show a clip of him scoring from distance during a training drill.
After the ball bounces around the 18 yard box, one of Sviatchenko’s teammates passes the ball out of the area. The 25-year-old is the first to react and curls a brilliant effort into the roof of the net.
The goal will undoubtedly prove to be another blow to their Scottish Premiership rivals as it confirms how – just days after fellow defender Mikael Lustig’s outrageous piece of skill against St Johnstone – every Hoops player is capable of making a major impact in the final third.
