Celtic have been outstanding under Brendan Rodgers this season.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Erik Sviatchenko has used the word “togetherness” to sum up red-hot Celtic this season.

Celtic beat Inverness 3-0 at Parkhead on Saturday afternoon to make it 10 wins from 11 Scottish Premiership games this season.

In fact, the Hoops’ only blemish in this rip-roaring start to the campaign was a 2-2 draw at Caley Thistle in September, courtesy of a last-minute goal from the hosts.

Brendan Rodgers’s side have been nothing short of exceptional so far, and their 10-point gap from second-placed Aberdeen proves as much.

They have not fared badly in Europe either.

The 7-0 demolition at Barcelona on matchday one of the Champions League set an ominous tone in a group which also included Manchester City and Borussia Monchengladbach.

But the Bhoys have since held both English and Bundesliga giants to draws in two of the three group games which have followed their heavy defeat at Camp Nou in September.

“One of the words might be togetherness,” he told The Telegraph when asked to describe the mood at Celtic. “We are a unit and when one makes a mistake the other guy covers for him and when one makes a good run the other guy comes with him.”

Second-half goals from Scott Sinclair, Leigh Griffiths and Tom Rogic did the damage for Rodgers’s side on Saturday.
