Celtic striker Moussa Dembele has been named as one of the nominees for the Tuttosport Golden Boy award, which celebrates the most talented of young players in world football.

The Frenchman joined Celtic in the summer on a free transfer from Fulham and has had an impressive start to life in Glasgow.

He scored twice v Manchester City last night to take his tally for the season so far to 12 goals in 16 games for the Bhoys.

That form, which included a hat-trick in the Old Firm derby against Rangers, has seen included on the list which also contains the likes of Dele Alli, Marcus Rashford and Alex Iwobi of Premier League fame.

The nomination has not gone unnoticed at Parkhead. One of his team-mates, who also performed well v City last night, has been quick to congratulate him on the honour.

Danish central defender Erik Sviatchenko sent him this message on Twitter earlier today to recognise his achievement:

Previous winners of the award include talents such as Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero and Paul Pogba.

Dembele would now doubt like to follow in those footsteps.
