Celtic defender Erik Sviatchenko has been linked with FC Copenhagen in the summer transfer window.

Earlier this week, The Daily Record quoted FC Copenhagen coach Stale Solbakken as saying that the Danish club have been priced out of a move for Celtic centre-back Sviatchenko.
It was reported that the Scottish giants had turned down a £2.7 million offer from Copenhagen for the 25-year-old Denmark international centre-back.
According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic are holding out for around £3.5m in order to part company with the former FC Midtjylland star.

Sviatchenko has suggested that he will remain at Celtic and will not leave the Celtic Park outfit on transfer deadline day.
“I expect to stay at Celtic,” Sviatchenko told BT, as translated by The Daily Record. “Here I will remain third choice in the central defence, but that may change when I come back.
“Now it’s about getting as strong as possible so I can join in an exciting and busy autumn season with the Champions League and many other important matches.”

Sviatchenko is out injured at the moment, but the Denmark international should not lose heart and must try his best in order to establish himself as a key player for Celtic.
The 25-year-old centre-back is talented and is promising, and as the season progresses, he will play a role for Brendan Rodgers’s side.
