Tottenham Hotspur took on Liverpool in the Premier League yesterday, in what was an exciting game.

Spurs will no doubt consider themselves fortunate to come away with a draw in the game after a good performance from their opponents at White Hart Lane.

Liverpool’s goal came courtesy of a penalty from James Milner.

The spot-kick was given after Roberto Firmino was tripped just inside the area.

The man who tripped him was Erik Lamela.

The Argentine has been in good form so far this season but he had a low-key game against Liverpool and giving away the penalty was a definite low point.

He took to Twitter after the game to send this message on a tough game, as he heads off for international duty with Argentina:

The Albiceleste take on Uruguay and Venezuela in the next ten days and Lamela will be hoping to feature in both games – although he will be struggling to get ahead of players such as Angel Di Maria and Lionel Messi in the Argentina line-up.

Hopefully he can find his best form whilst on international duty.
