Tottenham Hotspur bounced back from going a goal down to extend their winning run in the Premier League.
Erik Lamela took to Twitter after Tottenham’s impressive win over Bournemouth to express his delight at the comeback that saw Mauricio Pochettino’s men come from a goal down to secure a 4-1 victory.
It appeared that the disappointment from their midweek Champions League exit may be about to hurt them once again as Junior Stanislas – who had already missed a glorious chance – opened the scoring inside the first seven minutes at the Vitality Stadium.
Spurs’ afternoon then seemed to go from bad to much worse as Harry Kane had to be substituted after sustaining an ankle injury in a collision with the Cherries goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.
Tottenham would equalise before the break however, with Dele Alli getting on the end of a Serge Aurier cross. And in the second-half, Spurs seemed to find another gear in front of goal.
Son Heung-min scored twice before Aurier rounded off the scoring in stoppage-time to ensure that Spurs now move into third place in the table with eight games remaining in the season.
It was the perfect performance in many respects after the disappointment of their tie with Juventus. Spurs showed plenty of character to come from behind to take home the points, especially as all of their goals came after their talisman had to be taken off.
