Tottenham Hotspur’s Erik Lamela is set to miss the rest of the season with injury.
Erik Lamela has taken time to reflect on Twitter, about Tottenham Hotspur’s 3-0 victory over Manchester United last season.
A year ago today, Spurs picked up a comfortable victory over the Red Devils at White Hart Lane, with Lamela playing a starring role.
The Argentine winger scored Spurs’ final goal in the contest, to put the result beyond any doubt.
And Lamela clearly still has very fond memories of the victory – with the Spurs winger posting a message out earlier today.
Lamela’s tweet was greeted with a positive reaction from Spurs fans, who are eager to see him back in action.
Lamela has missed much of the season so far, after suffering with a prolonged hip injury.
The 25-year-old has recently underwent surgery, as he steps up his recovery process.
Lamela is not expected to play for Spurs again this campaign, but he should be back in action for pre-season, when he will be looking to make up for lost time.
