The Argentine has been out of action since October with a hip problem.
Tottenham’s Erik Lamela during training
Tottenham Hotspur’s brilliant campaign, albeit silverware-less, last term is even more impressive when considering they were without a key player in Erik Lamela for much of the campaign.
The Argentine has a brilliant 2015-16 campaign after initially struggling to settle at Spurs. But injury problems curtailed his progress last season. He played just 14 times for Spurs this season, scoring twice, before suffering a hip injury in October. His final appearance was in the EFL Cup defeat to Liverpool on the 25th October and he has been recovering since.
Now he has posted an update on his progress via his official Instagram page. The 25-year-old sent this video of him performing aqua recovery as he enjoys his summer break:
Lamela, who has travelled to his native Argentina and former home of Rome during his recuperation, has had to watch on as Heung-min Son took his place in the team with aplomb.

Next season he will face a fight to get back into the Tottenham first-team after the South Korean’s stunning campaign.
But it will still be good to see him back in first-team action as soon as possible.
