The Tottenham Hotspur duo have already forged an excellent understanding with each other.
Tottenham star Erik Lamela spoke to reporters after his side’s 3-2 win away at Wolves on Saturday, and raved about the quality of Lucas Moura, labelling the Brazilian as an ‘unbelievable player’, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The 26-year-old joined Spurs from Paris Saint-Germain in January of this year, for around £25 million, and despite a slow start to life in England, he is beginning to prove to be an invaluable player for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Lucas has chalked up six goals and four assists in 26 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham, but there is undoubtedly even more to come from the winger.
Lamela spoke to reporters after his side’s win against Wolves, and took time to praise the Brazil international, highlighting the special relationship that he shares with his teammate, as quoted by the club’s official website:
“He’s an unbelievable player. I knew him before he came here. Everyone know’s his quality. He’s doing so well, and I’m happy for him because he’s an amazing guy, and we have an amazing relationship.”
Next up for Tottenham is their Champions League clash with PSV tomorrow night, and nothing less than a win will do for Pochettino’s men, if they are to qualify from their group.
