Tottenham Hotspur winger Erik Lamela has backed Mousa Dembele to be his side’s top player.

Tottenham let Dembele leave for China, as his contract was entering its final six months.
The midfielder has now said his goodbyes to his Tottenham teammates, but it seems that they have not forgotten his quality.
And when asked who the best player at Tottenham is, Lamela was full of praise for the Belgian.
He said: “I go for Mousa Dembele. I think he’s unbelievable. One v one he’s amazing. Watching only one training you realise how good he is. Now he has left it’s easy for me to pick him.”
Tottenham players have almost always answered Dembele when asked who the best footballer at the club is in recent years.

The experienced midfielder clearly had earned the respect of his teammates during his time at Tottenham, and Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping that his sale does not affect Spurs’ results negatively.
Tottenham are currently short of options in central midfield, although Moussa Sissoko’s impending return from injury should be a boost.
Tottenham are due to face Chelsea in the League Cup semi-final tonight, where they are protecting a 1-0 lead after the first-leg.
