Tottenham Hotspur lost 2-1 to Inter Milan on Tuesday evening.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Erik Lamela has told The Mirror that the dressing room is still full of belief and confidence even after losing to Inter Milan.
After squandering a 1-0 lead to lose at Watford and then losing 2-1 to Liverpool on Saturday, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino was facing uncharted territory as he took his side to take on Inter Milan on Tuesday.
Pochettino had never lost three games in a row as Spurs boss, and it looked like his run would go on when Christian Eriksen put Tottenham in front in Tuesday’s Champions League clash.
However, Inter turned the game on its head, as Mauro Icardi smashed home a stunning volley before Matias Vecino bagged a last-gasp winner at the San Siro.
Major questions are being asked about Spurs after their poor run of form, with a whole host of problems facing manager Pochettino in his toughest spell as Spurs boss.
Tottenham still don’t have a home stadium, didn’t bring in any new signings, are witnessing an exhausted Harry Kane and look devoid of confidence at the back, making this weekend’s trip to Brighton and Hove Albion crucial.
Many believe that Tottenham are losing confidence all over the pitch, but Erik Lamela has told The Mirror that he doesn’t think the players are losing confidence, claiming that the mood in the dressing room is still one of belief, and not the downbeat portrayal in the media.

The Argentinian added that the feeling is bad after another defeat, but was determined to improve and reverse this torrid run of form Spurs find themselves in.
“No, I don’t think we’re losing our confidence. We still believe in each other in this team. That’s why we always fight until the end of the season,” said Lamela. “Of course, people are thinking like this. But inside the dressing room, I can tell you it’s not like this. We believe in this team. It’s time to win again. The way we played against Inter will help a lot but we’ have confidence in ourselves. We’re disappointed because we were winning and to lose like this in the last 10 minutes is bad. It’s bad for us because we came here to win and in the end we didn’t get the points, so very disappointed.”
“The feeling is like when you lose – bad, bad. But we need to keep going and move on. It’s the only way to recover from this – to keep putting everything on the pitch and try to get back to winning ways. I don’t know honestly if we deserved to lose. In the second half, we scored and then we managed the game. They were tired, we should have scored more goals. I had a lot of chances. My teammates too. Their ‘keeper did well…sometimes the ball goes in. Tonight it wasn’t like this and they had two chances and they scored two goals. Football is like this sometimes. But there’s nothing to say. We have to improve and next time try to score and finish the game. That’s it,” he added.
