Tottenham Hotspur winger Erik Lamela started in Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s last match.

‘Everywhere you go, always take Lamela with you’ is often heard from the stands at Spurs matches, when the Argentine is playing.
And Lamela says that he really appreciates it when he hears Tottenham supporters chanting his name.
“Yeah, I like it. I like it when the people say my name. I appreciate it,” he said, when asked if he was a fan of his chant.
Lamela could receive plenty of game time at Tottenham in the coming weeks, as Mauricio Pochettino’s side are short of attacking options.
The winger, who cost Spurs £26 million back in 2013 (the Guardian), was selected to start against Fulham in the Lilywhites’ last outing.

Lamela didn’t actually impress much at Craven Cottage, but he could have another chance to catch the eye this evening.
With Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane out, Lamela may well be given the nod to feature against Chelsea in the League Cup semi-final.
And if Lamela can impress then he has the chance to establish a place for himself in Tottenham’s starting line-up over the coming weeks.
