Tottenham Hotspur winger Erik Lamela has been one of Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s stars of pre-season.

Lamela moved from Roma to Tottenham in a £30 million transfer (Daily Mail) back in 2013.
He is now one of Spurs’s longest-serving players, with Lamela seeing a lot of change happen at the Lilywhites.
And Lamela admits that he finds it ‘crazy’ that he has been at Tottenham for so long now.
He said: “It’s amazing, it’s crazy how the time flies sometimes. I think about it and it’s crazy.”
Lamela’s time at Tottenham has been plagued with injury and inconsistency so far.
The Argentine has never quite managed to become one of Tottenham’s key players, despite showing plenty of flashes of quality.

Lamela has been one of the stars of pre-season for Spurs, but there is now a scepticism around White Hart Lane over whether he will go on to prove himself over the competitive campaign.
While Lamela’s talent is rarely questioned, his inability to stay fit is a major concern.
Lamela may well feature for Tottenham on the opening day of the season though, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side due to take on Aston Villa at the weekend.
