Dedryck Boyata is an important player for Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic and Belgium.

Boyata played well for Belgium at the 2018 World Cup in Russia and has established himself as an important player in the current set-up.
The 27-year-old central defender has also been playing well for Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic this season.
Former Belgium international defender Van Meir has spoken highly of Boyata, and has predicted what his international future holds for him.
Van Meir told The Scottish Sun about Boyata: “Dedryck Boyata can become the most important man in the defence of the Red Devils in the future.
“He has already proved that at the World Cup when he successfully dealt with the injuries of Vincent Kompany and Thomas Vermaelen and played really well.
“Because he was so impressive in Russia, he has an advantage over the other central defenders when it comes to replacing the older players in the team.
“He will become Belgium’s main central defender very soon. I have no doubts about him as the future of the country’s defence.”

Celtic stay
Boyata is prone to making mistakes, but there is no doubt that the 27-year-old is the best central defender that Celtic have at the moment.
It is important for the Hoops that Boyata continues to play well, as they need him fit and on top of his game in the coming weeks and months.
Boyata – who earns £14,000 per week as salary, according to The Daily Star – joined Celtic from City in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £1.5 million.
