Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier could make his first appearance at his side’s new ground this evening.

Eric Dier of Tottenham applauds fans during the Premier League match between Fulham FC and Tottenham Hotspur at Craven Cottage on January 20, 2019 in London, United Kingdom.

Eric Dier has told the London Evening Standard that Tottenham Hotspur’s players have been raving about the atmosphere in their new ground.

Dier has not been able to play in Tottenham’s new home yet, but is finally back fit again now.

The England international has struggled with injury problems throughout 2019 so far.

And Dier is excited to play in Tottenham’s new ground, if he is given the nod to start by Mauricio Pochettino against Brighton & Hove Albion this evening.

“From what everyone has said to me it has got an incredible atmosphere,” Dier, who is on a £60,000-a-week contract (Sportac), said.

“I have been there from the outside and it looks like a fantastic place to play. We are very lucky to being play in a stadium like that and, hopefully, we can continue to get the results that we have got so far.”

Dier’s return for Spurs comes at an ideal time, as they are so short of midfield options.

Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks are out injured, leaving Tottenham very limited in who they can pick to play in the middle of the pitch.

Spurs are still unbeaten at their new ground, and have not even conceded a goal yet.

If Tottenham can beat Brighton this evening then they will move four points clear of fifth placed Arsenal.
