Eric Dier believes there is more to come from Tottenham Hotspur teammate Dele Alli.
Tottenham Hotspur ace Eric Dier has told The Mirror that despite Dele Alli’s sensational form, he believes the midfielder was better last season.
Dier and Alli are as close as any two players in football, with a great connection on and off the pitch.

Dier therefore is supremely qualified to assess his teammate, who has scored seven goals in his last four starts, including a decisive brace against Chelsea last week.
The midfielder said: “Dele is scoring a lot of goals which has put him in the headlines but I’m not sure if it’s the best form he’s shown.
“Last season there were times when he was fantastic as well but he can do better as well. I’m sure he can.”

Dier’s comments speak to the high standards Tottenham’s players hold themselves too, an attitude no doubt enforced from the top down from Mauricio Pochettino and his coaching staff.
His words speak of a hungry player, and if his teammates share his attitude, they will continue to improve.
Alli has made rapid progress in the 18 months in which he has been at the club, scoring 20 first team goals and marking himself out as one of the most exciting young talents in not just the Premier League, but world football.
