Tottenham Hotspur star Eric Dier has told Football.London that Gareth Bale is getting better with every game.

Dier, who can play as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder, was pleased for his Tottenham teammate for his goal against Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League at the weekend.

The Wales international winger, signed on loan from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, came on as a substitute on Sunday evening and scored what proved to be the winner.

Dier has said that he and his Spurs teammates are very excited to have Bale in their squad, and believes that he is getting better and better.

The England international told Football.London about Bale: “It’s great. You’ll have to ask him how he feels but I’m sure he feels great to get his first goal. He’s up and running again.

“He’s obviously getting his match fitness back and he’s looking better and feeling better every time. We’re very excited to have him here and obviously he’s helped the team massively today.”

Encouraging for Tottenham Hotspur fans

Bale is far from his best at the moment, and it could take a few more games for the Welshman to hit his peak.

The winger remains a very good player who gives Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho a valuable option in attack.

True, Spurs are doing well without Bale in the starting lineup at the moment, but it is only a matter of time before the winger cements his place.

It would be fantastic for Spurs fans to watch Harry Kane, Bale and Son Heung-min play together from the start.
