Eric Dier says it is almost impossible to catch Chelsea in the title race following Tottenham’s 1-0 defeat against West Ham on Friday night.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Eric Dier, feels that it is almost impossible now for Spurs to challenge for the Premier League title following their London derby defeat.
The north London club suffered a massive blow in the title race when they lost 1-0 to West Ham on Friday night at the London stadium.
Manuel Lanzini scored the only goal of the match to seal the tie in favour of the Hammers.
Tottenham were trailing Chelsea by four points with four games left to play. The defeat means that Chelsea will now need only two wins from their remaining games to lift the title.

Dier, understandably disappointed, said that it is going to be harder now for them to close the gap with the Blues. However, he assures the fans that the team will give their best in the last three games.
“It was already going to be hard and now it’s even harder. It’s disappointing. We were on a fantastic run,” said Dier to Sky Sports.
“They made it very hard for us, they played very deep and we didn’t create enough chances.
“We managed to bring it back to four points but after today, it’s nearly impossible, but we will give it everything for the last three games.”
Irrespective of where Tottenham finish at the end of the season, Mauricio Pochettino’s side can look back at the campaign with great pride.
It has been a superb 2016-17 campaign from Spurs in which they evolved as a team, and all the players took their game to the next level.
Tottenham’s record has been outstanding but it is their away form (seven wins from 17 games) that has made the difference in the end.
