A delighted Eric Dier has taken to social media site Twitter to celebrate signing a new contract with Tottenham Hotspur.
Dier has penned an improved deal which will keep him with the Lilywhites until 2021.
The England international has enjoyed a remarkable rise at White Hart Lane, and Dier says that he could not be any more pleased to have tied his future down.
Dier has plenty of room for improvement at the age of 22, but he is already playing a key role in Mauricio Pochettino’s starting line-up.
At the start of the 2015/16 campaign, Pochettino converted Dier into a defensive midfielder and the former Sporting Lisbon man has not looked back since.
Dier is now regarded as one of the top talents in England, and his reputation is growing by the game.
The midfielder’s next chance to impress is likely to come on Wednesday evening, when Spurs take on Monaco in the Champions League – which will be Dier’s first taste of action in Europe’s elite competition.
