Tottenham Hotspur have not won any of their last five games.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Eric Dier has urged his Tottenham Hotspur team-mates to stop dwelling on their recent hard-luck stories and focus on putting things right.

Tottenham seem to be in something of a funk after failing to win any of their last five games in all competitions.

Their most recent outing came on Saturday when Mauricio Pochettino’s side drew 1-1 with Leicester City at White Hart Lane.

Spurs managed 22 efforts on goal, and hit the woodwork twice, but it was not enough to earn them the victory and the Lilywhites fell three points behind in the Premier League title race.

Tottenham host Bayer Leverkusen at Wembley on Wednesday in a must-win game for their Champions League last-16 prospects, before visiting bang-in-form Arsenal in a huge North London derby on Sunday.

And Dier has said that Spurs – whose last win came in the 2-0 victory over Manchester City before the international break – need to start making the most of their opportunities.

“I know, but we’ve got to stop talking about it and start doing something about it,” he told the club’s official website, when reminded of Saturday’s stats.

“It’s irrelevant to talk about it now. Every chance they had came from us and we have to limit the mistakes we make, because it led to their chances.”

Harry Kane’s absence since the middle of September is undoubtedly beginning to impact Tottenham, and by the same token his imminent return should be a big, big boost.
