Tottenham Hotspur central defender Eric Dier has praised Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale on BBC Sport for his performance in the North London derby at the weekend.
Arsenal got the better of Tottenham 2-0 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
While the Gunners were the better team over the course of the 90 minutes and deservedly picked up all three points from the encounter, Tottenham did have chances in the second half.
Ramsdale made two very good saves in the first half.
The £24 million (The Athletic) England international goalkeeper was busiest in the second half.
And he stepped up.
Dier was impressed.

Tottenham star Eric Dier on Arsenal ace Aaron Ramsdale
The Tottenham defender said: “Second half, we came out and played really well. We could’ve easily got back into the game.
“Ramsdale made a lot of good saves and we are just missing that goal. If we get the first, then who knows what happens?”
Impressive
In our view, Aaron Ramsdale is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League, and the Arsenal star was brilliant against Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby.
The 24-year-old made good decisions in front of his goal and was calm under pressure.
Ramsdale is good with his feet, and while he likes to be involved in the game, he does make important saves.
Arsenal are doing extremely well in the Premier League at the moment, and Ramsdale is a big reason why.
