The Tottenham Hotspur and England midfielder has been speaking about the progression Spurs are making under manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier has told Sky Sports that he believes that the club will continue to make a “natural progression” under manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The England international has become one of Spurs’ key players since the Argentine coach moved Dier from centre-back to being the anchorman in the White Hart Lane outfit’s midfield and his impressive performances have seen him become a regular for the Three Lions side.
Spurs were not able to break through against Bournemouth in the lunchtime kick-off on Saturday, but they did extend their unbeaten start to the Premier League season to nine games.
Dier believes that he, along with his team-mates will continue to get better under the guidance of Pochettino.
But, the 22-year-old would not be drawn into discussing where the North London club will finish in the table come the end of the campaign.
Dier told Sky Sports: “As a club and a group of players with this manager we are on a natural progression. We are looking to just keep improving and keep that curve going upwards.
“We’ve never put a target on it we just want to keep on improving and upping our level. The way we work I’m sure we will.”
Spurs were a surprise package in the Premier League title race last term, alongside eventual champions Leicester City and they will no doubt hope to replicate last year’s form in the current campaign, along with competing in the Champions League.
