Tottenham Hotspur lost against Premier League rivals Chelsea in the FA Cup at the weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur failed to progress to the final of the FA Cup at the weekend, as they went down 4-2 to London rivals Chelsea.
Spurs headed into the semi-final tie against the Blues at the Wembley Stadium in London as slight favourites, but they were on the back foot after just five minutes when Willian put the Blues ahead.

Harry Kane equalised for Tottenham on 18 minutes, only for William to put Chelsea back in front from the penalty spot on 43 minutes.
Dele Alli restored parity for Mauricio Pochettino’s side just seven minutes into the second half, but Eden Hazard and Nemanja Matic subsequently scored to bag a 4-2 win for Chelsea.
Tottenham played well in the game and had more shots and possession than Chelsea. Mauricio Pochettino’s side probably did not deserve to lose, and Eric Dier, who can operate as a defender or as a defensive midfielder, seems confused to why his side did not end up as the winners.
“We’re all very disappointed,” Dier told Tottenham’s official website. “I felt we were in control of the game for most of it and it’s a strange feeling because I don’t really know how it’s ended up like it has, considering the way we played.
“It’s quite clear to see. It makes it even more frustrating because I felt we played well and controlled the game and to lose like that at the end is very frustrating.”
Tottenham will return to action on Wednesday evening when they take on Crystal Palace away from home in the Premier League.
