Eric Dier signed a new deal at Tottenham this morning.

Speaking to Spurs TV, Eric Dier has likened playing with Tottenham Hotspur to a kick-about with his mates in a comparison which sums up the spirit within Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
The 22-year-old put pen to paper on a new five-year contract earlier on Tuesday after emerging as one of Tottenham’s most important players over the past 12 months.

Dier’s extension only strengthens the idea that the future seems very bright for Spurs, and much of that is perhaps the team spirit which Pochettino has built.
The Lilywhites seem to be a very close-knit group and that harmony has certainly helped them perform on the pitch, with Tottenham mounting a strong Premier League title challenge last term, and they’re yet to lose a game this season.

The England international described it perfectly in an interview with Spurs TV after signing his deal earlier today.
He said: “We’ve formed an amazing group here and it’s a pleasure to come here everyday. I enjoy coming here to see everyone – it’s like playing football with your mates.”
Spurs welcome Monaco to Wembley tomorrow night for their Champions League opener, and fans will hope that the unity within the squad will help their side enjoy a successful return to Europe’s elite competition.
