Eric Dier is an important player for Tottenham Hotspur.

Dier, who can operate as a defender or as a defensive midfielder, has established himself as an important player for Tottenham.
However, some eyebrows were raised last month when it emerged that the England international midfielder and Pochettino does not always see eye to eye.

As quoted by The Daily Mail, Pochettino spoke about his frustration about Dier and Manchester United in a new book, Brave New World: Inside Pochettino’s Spurs by Guillem Balague.
Dier, who has been on the books of Spurs since the summer of 2014 when he joined from Sporting Lisbon for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £4 million, has made it clear that there is no problem between him and the Spurs manager, although he has admitted that the pair do not always agree on everything.

“What needs to be clarified is that this is something that happened last Christmas,” Dier told The Times. “The book is a very honest account, and it’s nice for fans to have that insight about what goes on, that it’s not all lovey-dovey, but context is important. This was last Christmas.
“The book has come out now, so it has resurfaced, but for a long time my relationship with the manager has been great.
“It’s always been very good. Obviously, you can’t see eye-to-eye on everything, but if anything our relationship is stronger for what we went through together.”
Tottenham have progressed massively under Pochettino and are now very much one of the contenders for the Premier League title.
Spurs will take on Crystal Palace at the Wembley Stadium in London in the Premier League this afternoon.
