Tottenham are going into the game off the back of their first domestic defeat of the season.

Eric Dier has urged Tottenham Hotspur to respond to their midweek defeat in the manner that all big clubs would, by beating Leicester City this weekend, the Daily Mirror reports.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side suffered their first domestic defeat of the season as they were knocked out of the EFL Cup by Liverpool at Anfield.

And they face a tough task trying to ensure that they get back to winning ways as quickly as possible as they host the champions at White Hart Lane on Saturday. But Dier has insisted that the way they respond following the cup loss could go a long way to proving their title credentials.
“If you want to be a big club and you want to be challenging, then when you have a defeat, you have to bounce back strongly. That will be our aim,” he said, as reported by the Mirror.

Pochettino will be hoping that his squad respond in a similar manner to the way they reacted following their only other defeat of the campaign.
After suffering a surprise loss at home to Monaco in the Champions League back in September, Tottenham won their next five games in all competitions, including a 2-0 victory over Manchester City.
And with Leicester looking much more impressive in recent weeks, Spurs may need to replicate the kind of performance which inspired their win over Pep Guardiola’s men if they hope to put the Liverpool defeat behind them.
