Tottenham Hotspur defender Eric Dier has raved about his teammate Emerson Royal on the club’s official website.
Dier, who can also operate as a midfielder, has said that he has been very impressed by Emerson following his move to Tottenham.
The 22-year-old Brazil international right-back joined Spurs from Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
Dier, an England international, has said that Emerson is always in the gym and is always working hard.
The Englishman said about Emerson: “The same goes for Emerson, he’s settled in so well, a great character, a lot of fun, works very hard.
“I’ve been really impressed with him, his work rate, always in the gym, always looking after himself.”
Encouraging
Emerson has not exactly been great for Spurs so far this season, but there have been some positive signs.
The Tottenham no. 12 has made three starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League so far this season.
We should not forget that the Brazilian is only 22.
Moreover, the former Real Betis right-back has been in the Premier League for only a few weeks.
Dier works with Romero on a daily basis, and the Spurs defender would know more than most what the defender is capable of.
We think that Emerson will get better and will become a star at Spurs.
