Leeds United youngster made his debut against Newport.

Leeds United talent Eoghan Stokes made his long awaited debut for the club in their Carabao Cup win over Newport County.
Stokes was a starter against the League Two side as Leeds went on to win the game 5-1.

The Republic of Ireland youth international has been a regular in Leeds’ under-23 side over the past three seasons and signed a one-year contract extension in the summer.
The 20-year-old’s patience was rewarded with a start, and he sent a message to fans after the game thanking them for their support.
Stokes was clearly glad to have made his breakthrough, although he was not involved in the team’s goals.
This was simply a chance for Stokes to get familiar with the first team and show manager Thomas Christiansen he deserves the stage.
He will hope that it can lead to further opportunities down the line, and Leeds’ progression to the next round gives him a fighting chance.
