The rumoured West Bromwich Albion target has caught the eye of a number of Aston Villa supporters.

Aston Villa fans are reacting to reports linking rivals West Bromwich Albion with a move for Brentford’s Ryan Woods.
According to the Birmingham Mail, the Baggies are weighing up a £6 million bid for the midfielder, who grew up half an hour’s drive from the Hawthorns, in Norton Canes.
Woods has impressed since heading to Brentford from Shrewsbury Town three years ago – and has proved a thorn in the side of Aston Villa, who have yet to win in four attempts against the 24-year-old.

This is what they are saying about West Brom’s latest rumoured target on Twitter…
As it transpires, Woods could have been an Aston Villa player, having spent time on trial there before signing for Shrewsbury instead.
Brentford’s other Baggies-linked midfielder, Romaine Sawyers, was actually released from the Hawthorns five years ago.
He was initially picked up by nearby Walsall, whose then boss Dean Smith – a lifelong Aston Villa supporter – is now in charge at Brentford.
Are Aston Villa right to be envious of West Brom’s alleged Woods pursuit?
