The Toffees went into deadline day almost two weeks ago hoping to bring in some big-name players, but ended up missing out on a host of targets.

Ronald Koeman wanted to bring in another attacking player to ease some of the burden on star striker Romelu Lukaku, and whilst he may not have been the club’s first target, Everton did end up signing Enner Valencia on loan from West Ham.
The 26-year-old attacker had joined West Ham from Pachuca just over two years ago having starred for Ecuador at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, scoring all three of his side’s goals in the competition.

A pacey forward with surprising ability in the air, Valencia arrived with huge expectations – but ultimately didn’t live up to them with just eight goals in 54 Premier League games.
Having fallen out of favour under Slaven Bilic, Valencia is now looking to become a success at Everton under Koeman – and could even make his Everton debut against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light this evening.
Ahead of the game, Valencia has taken to Twitter to post a photo of himself in front of the Everton badge, claiming he is happy to be playing for such a great club.
Whilst unlikely to start, Valencia could offer Koeman a great option from the bench, and fans will be hoping to see him make an instant impact if he does feature against Sunderland tonight.
