The Ecuador striker scored twice v City last season.
Everton’s loan striker Enner Valencia was the hero for Ecuador last night. He scored two goals in the second half as his nation drew 2-2 with Bolivia in La Paz.
His heroics for his country are well known and he is often scoring goals for El Tri.
Everton’s Enner Valencia heads at goal
But at club level things have been far more barren. Valencia has not yet found the back of the net for Everton. In fact, he has not scored at all since January – a long wait for a striker.
But the team he scored those two goals against are the team Everton play this weekend – Manchester City.
Enner Valencia scores the second goal for West Ham
Back in January Valencia scored twice against City in a 2-2 draw and gave Nicolas Otamendi a torrid time at the back.
Of course City are a different beast now, and Valencia is unlikely to start for Everton.
But having him on the bench will certainly be a bonus for Everton.

Valencia needs to end his domestic cold streak and he knows very well that he can score goals against Manchester City.
He might just be Everton’s unexpected weapon this weekend.
