Leeds United have been pretty busy this summer, with players heading for the exit door and five players being brought in by Jesse Marsch.

One area of the pitch Leeds are looking to cover is behind their number one goalkeeper, Illan Meslier, with the experienced Ben Foster being looked at.

Back in October, when Leeds beat Watford 1-0 at Elland Road, the 39-year-old, who is now a free-agent after leaving the relegated side last month, spoke highly about Elland Road.

Foster labelled the club’s ‘old school’ ground as ‘absolutely beautiful’, so if he makes a switch to Leeds, then he will certainly enjoy his surroundings, as he told Ben Foster’s Cycling GK channel.

Nonetheless, this is what Foster had to say about Leeds and Elland Road when his Watford side suffered defeat in Yorkshire last season.

“It’s raining cats and dogs,” said Foster in October. “But you know what, this is absolutely beautiful. Old school as you like. Proper English football stadium.

“Look at this bad boy (pans around Elland Road). Pitch is a thing of beauty.”

VLOGGING AT ELLAND ROAD?

For the past few years, Foster has decided to vlog behind-the-scenes at Watford, from what happens before games, in the tunnel and after matches.

This all started when the pandemic hit when Watford were in the Championship – where they are back now – so, in England’s second-tier, he was also able to record what would happen during games.

That’s something that’s not allowed in the Premier League, but he still provided never-seen-before content for the average fan to see.

Perhaps a move to Leeds would see the Englishman provide similar content for fans to see what happens at the Yorkshire club, who will be looking to better the relegation battle they found themselves in last season.
