Reported Liverpool target Raheem Sterling is on the verge of joining Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea from Manchester City in the summer transfer window, according to The Telegraph.
The Telegraph have reported that Chelsea have agreed to pay Premier League rivals Manchester City £47.5 million up front to sign former Liverpool star Sterling.
The England international, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, has signed a five-year contract, with the option of a sixth year.
The 27-year-old will reportedly earn over £300,000 per week as salary at Chelsea and will become the Blues’ highest-paid player.
On July 7, The Mirror reported that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool want(ed) to sign Sterling in the summer transfer window.

Klopp was reportedly keen on the attacker.
Liverpool sold Sterling to Manchester City in 2015 for an initial transfer fee of £44 million.
Chelsea target Raheem Sterling was unlikely to join Liverpool
In our view, Liverpool were unlikely to be able to sign Raheem Sterling from Manchester City in the summer transfer window.
City, who won the Premier League title last season, were never going to sell one of their best players to Liverpool, their main domestic rivals.
Sterling has scored 109 goals and created 74 big chances in 320 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
