Lord Sugar has said on GB News that he would not like to own Tottenham Hotspur again.
The 74-year-old English businessman has also praised Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy for not speaking in public often.
Lord Sugar bought Tottenham in 1991 and was involved with the North London club until 2007 (he sold his majority stake to ENIC in 2001).
The Englishman said on GB News when asked if he would still like to own Spurs: “No. You are on a hiding to nothing. It’s a worse job than being a Prime Minister, to be honest, can’t do anything right.
“I take my hat off to Daniel Levy because what he does is completely different to what I did. He keeps his mouth shut, does’t talk, doesn’t answer anybody, doesn’t speak to anybody. I couldn’t resist it.”

Being the owner of a club is hard. Lord Sugar is right about that.
It is not easy to run a business or own a big club such as Tottenham.
Big decisions have to be made, both on the pitch and off it. Some are right, some go wrong.
However, not all football owners get stick from their fans.
The owners of Leicester City and Manchester City are very popular among their fans.

Yes, fans want their club to spend money on players and resources and to be successful.
However, most supporters understand the limits of their club’s finance.
For example, no Tottenham fan now thinks that the club can sign the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar or win the Champions League.
What Spurs supporters want to see from their club is investment in the squad so that the team can become competitive, like they were under Mauricio Pochettino.
