Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson has told ITV (10/07/21 at 11:20 pm) that he will dye his hair blonde if England become Euro 2020 champions tonight.
Manchester City superstar, Phil Foden, opted to dye his hair blonde before the start of the tournament, a la Paul Gascoigne style – and Liverpool’s captain could now follow suit if football comes home.
Gascoigne famously dyed his hair blonde during Euro 1996 when England were knocked out of the semi-finals to Germany – but this side have gone one better.
And whilst it was pretty early during the tournament, Foden did make it clear that his teammates have to follow suit in dying their hair if they are the ones walking up those famous Wembley steps tonight.
Well, as the hour’s tick by until the whole of England goes into heart-attack mode, fans will love what they are hearing from Henderson.
“Apparently, yes, (we are all supposed to dye our hair)” said Henderson. “To be honest, I wouldn’t mind doing that.
“If we won on Sunday then I would do anything you wanted. So, to dye my hair is the least of my worries.”

More than likely, Henderson won’t start for England against Italy, but that doesn’t mean he won’t play a crucial role in preparing these players for the biggest game of their lives.
Henderson is one of a very few in this England camp, who has won the Premier League and lifted the European Cup, in fact, the only one.
Even the pressure of those nights won’t match what the Three Lions will feel at Wembley, but still those words of wisdom from Henderson will help the likes of Declan Rice and Kalvin Phillips, to name a few.
