Last night, Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins scored just 20 minutes into his England debut as the Three Lions beat San Marino 5-0.
The Villans No.11 replaced Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the 63rd minute, and went on to make it 5-0 with a lovely swivel and shot in the 83rd minute.
Despite this being his first taste of international football, Watkins already seems to be a popular figure among the England squad.
Almost every England player rushed over to celebrate with him after his strike, with beaming smiles etched across their faces.
After the game, Calvert-Lewin revealed that the England players applauded the 25-year-old into the dressing room after his debut goal.

You can see what the 19-goal Everton striker said to Paul Brown after full-time below.
What a lovely gesture from Gareth Southgate’s squad.
With no fans in attendance, Watkins might feel his goal was missing something.
However, his teammates ensured he got the acknowledgement he deserved by clapping him into the Wembley dressing rooms.

Watkins now has 13 goals for the season, having netted 12 goals in 31 games for Villa this term.
He has taken to life at the top level with ease following a £28 million move from Championship outfit Brentford back in September.
At this rate, it would be a travesty if he isn’t named in Southgate’s EURO 2021 squad – he truly deserves his spot.
