Jermaine Jenas has hailed Jude Bellingham after his performance for England against Germany as the Liverpool target continues to shine.

The Three Lions had to show something, anything against Germany on Tuesday night.

The pressure has been mounting on Gareth Southgate after suffering Nations League relegation, with England’s form ahead of the World Cup truly concerning.

Monday’s 3-3 draw with Germany at least showed some life in the England ranks, even if it didn’t provide the elusive win Southgate so desperately wants.

Ilkay Gundogan and Kai Havertz had Germany 2-0 up before England roared back.

Luke Shaw bundled a scrappy goal in to start the fightback before Mason Mount curled home a beauty and Harry Kane fired in from the penalty spot.

A Nick Pope error allowed Havertz to equalise though, meaning England couldn’t quite secure that victory.

Fans will be pleased to have seen something from the England side and the star of the show was arguably Jude Bellingham.

It’s sometimes easy to forget that Bellingham is just 19 as the Borussia Dortmund star is simply so good, so mature.

Bellingham was outstanding against Germany and may well be nailing down a starting spot in Southgate’s World Cup squad.

This comes amid strong speculation about Bellingham leaving Dortmund in 2023.

Reports from the Daily Mail in August suggested that Liverpool are expecting Bellingham to join them next summer.

However, other clubs are also in the mix and Liverpool won’t have it all their own way in this chase for the next great midfielder.

Bellingham’s display on Monday night once again underlined his enormous quality and potential, with pundit Jermaine Jenas full of praise.

Jenas took to Twitter to suggest building everything around Bellingham on the international stage – and maybe Liverpool have that plan in mind for themselves too.

Jenas noted that Bellingham just has an attitude of doing whatever he wants in the middle of the park, reminiscent of a former Red in Steven Gerrard.
