The former Tottenham Hotspur man had a decent game last night.

Former Tottenham Hotspur star Kieran Trippier helped England to a 4-0 win over Bulgaria last night.
The right-back, who quit Spurs to join Atletico Madrid in July, did his bit at Wembley as Gareth Southgate’s side smashed the opposition, with a hat-trick from Harry Kane doing much of the damage.
Trippier, who spent four years at Tottenham, didn’t have much to do defensively, but he looked a threat from an attacking perspective and delivered a number of brilliant crosses.
The former Burnley defender looks to have been given a new lease of life in the Spanish capital, having helped Diego Simeone’s side reach top of La Liga, resulting in his recall from the Three Lions.
Here’s how England fans reacted to his display last night.
Letting Trippier leave was a huge risk by Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, considering no replacement was signed.
The Argentine has since promoted Kyle Walker-Peters but there’s question marks over whether the academy prospect is good enough for the North Londoners’ first team, while Serge Aurier looks finished after Pochettino refused to play him in Walker-Peters’s absence against Arsenal last week.
So much hinges on whether Walker-Peters does the business this season. If he fails, questions will be asked of Pochettino for either selling Trippier or not signing anybody to replace him.
