One England fan has spent the last month in the United States of America for the World Cup and has loved his experience.

The 2026 World Cup has not been without its critics, with the hydration breaks and the extended half-time show that is taking place at the final on Sunday among the decisions drawing criticism.

But the USA itself has received much praise throughout the tournament, including from England supporter Oliver Henry, who has now summed up his journey in a social media post, in which he thanked the American people.

England fan having the greatest experience of his life in USA during World Cup

Henry has documented his journey following England this summer and has gained a decent following on social media as a result.

His trip is now taking him to Atlanta to watch the Three Lions face off with Argentina in the semi-finals of the competition.

Amid revealing he has managed to secure a ticket for the game, Henry admitted his experience over the last month has only been possible ‘thanks to the great American people’.

Taking to his X/Twitter account, he wrote: “Today marks one entire month in the USA. I only came for 1 World Cup match, started documenting my journey and ended up:

“Going to 3 total World Cup games, including a knockout game.

“Meeting Donald Trump, the President of the United States.

“Going on live morning TV with FOX.

“Exploring 6 different states.

“I have just got a ticket to the England vs Argentina game, and it’s all possible thanks to the great American people who supported my journey and donated to my GoFundMe. I never want this trip to end, it will never ever be topped. The greatest experience of my life.”

Henry’s trip may well come to an end on Wednesday if England lose to Argentina in the semi-final.

But even if Thomas Tuchel’s side don’t win the clash, he might end up staying in America for the final to watch Spain and Argentina face off for the trophy anyway.
