The Liverpool and Celtic captains came up against each other at Wembley on Friday.
Friday evening’s clash between England and Scotland at Wembley did not prove to be another classic between the two old rivals as the Three Lions ran out comfortable 3-0 winners.
Goals from Daniel Sturridge, Adam Lallana and Gary Cahill saw them to victory over Gordon Strachan’s men.
In truth the game could have been very different, with the away side having several chances to score themselves but failing to take advantage of them.

That midfield battle saw Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson taking on Celtic captain Scott Brown, so who came out on top in that duel? We decided to take a look at the stats, courtesy of WhoScored.
Henderson managed more touches, 104 touches in total, the second most of any player in the game, and 50 more than Brown.
His passing was also superior, as he posted more accurate passes, 80 compared to 34 and enjoyed a better overall passing accuracy, 86% compared to 83%.
The duo were, however, level when it came to key passes with both registering one apiece.

Henderson also won more aerial duels than his counterpart, two compared to none although they were level for successful tackles and interceptions, with two each in either regard.
Brown enjoyed a better overall tackle success rate with a score of 67% compared to 40%.
It was the Liverpool man who was better in possession, though, having avoided being dispossessed throughout while Brown lost the ball on three separate occasions.
The England star was also better when it came to fouls, registering just one compared to the Celtic captain’s four.
